TELEHEALTH
To adapt to our rapidly evolving working and living environment, Mill Park Physiotherapy has introduced Telehealth as a way of providing our expertise to clients when attending the clinic is not possible.
Telehealth is a means of providing physiotherapy using Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). The service can occur over the phone, or via video call utilising a smart phone, desktop/laptop or iPad/tablet with a camera attached. Telehealth enables your physiotherapist to assess and diagnose your condition/injury when you are unable to attend a face-to-face consultation, and has been shown to be both safe and effective. It also allows for the provision of appropriate exercises and education/advice to best help you manage your condition.
What can be provided in Telehealth consults?
-
Confidential and safe 1:1 injury assessment/diagnosis
-
Personalised advice and injury management plan
-
Home exercise prescription
-
Personalised 1:1 exercise session from home utilising a range of resistance bands (available for purchase at at MPP) and/or other equipment you may have at home. Exercises are prescribed to address your own specific goals
-
Workstation or home computer assessment and set up advice
-
Second opinions or referrals to the relevant healthcare provider as needed
