Amanda Attanayake

Amanda graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Applied Science and Masters of Physiotherapy Practice.

Amanda is passionate about helping people of all ages and abilities return to doing what they love. She has experience managing a range of musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiorespiratory conditions. Amanda enjoys treating women's health presentations, including pelvic floor and pregnancy-related issues, and also has a special interest in injuries of the shoulder, having completed further courses in both of these areas.

Alongside her time in the clinic, Amanda works across a number of projects at the La Trobe Sport and Exercise Medicine Research Centre, including large clinical trials. She also teaches into the physiotherapy course at La Trobe University.

 

Amanda has dabbled in many different sports throughout her life, participating in swimming and rowing. Currently, she enjoys running, hiking and Pilates.

Outside of work, you can often find Amanda in the kitchen, baking sweet treats for her colleagues to enjoy, going for walks, or enjoying live music.
